5 Signs Your Office Needs a Deep Clean (Not Just a Tidy-Up)
Daily dusting keeps an office looking presentable, but it doesn’t reach the buildup that affects air quality, equipment,…
One of the most common questions we get from new clients is simple: how often should I actually book a clean? There's no single right answer, but there is a right way to think about it.
Start with household size and activity. A single professional living alone in a serviced apartment generates far less daily mess than a family of five with young children and a dog. More people and more activity means dust, spills, and clutter accumulate faster, which usually points toward a weekly or bi-weekly schedule rather than monthly.
Lagos's environment is also a factor that's easy to underestimate. Harmattan dust, construction activity nearby, and open windows for ventilation all add to how quickly surfaces need attention compared to a similar home in a drier or less dusty climate. Homes near busy roads or ongoing construction typically need more frequent dusting and floor care to stay ahead of it.
Think about which rooms matter most. Kitchens and bathrooms are the highest-priority spaces for hygiene — grease, food residue, and moisture create conditions bacteria thrive in within days, not weeks. If budget or scheduling means you can't do a full-home clean every week, a hybrid approach works well: a full clean bi-weekly, with a lighter kitchen-and-bathroom-only visit on the weeks in between.
Consider your own time realistically. A lot of clients start on a monthly plan assuming they'll handle the in-between weeks themselves, then find that daily life gets in the way. If that sounds familiar, it's worth booking the frequency that matches how much time you actually have, not how much you'd like to have.
Finally, don't treat your first booking as permanent. Most households find their ideal rhythm after two or three visits, once they can see how quickly a space returns to needing attention. We're always happy to adjust frequency up or down after the first few cleans — the goal is a schedule that keeps your home consistently comfortable, not one that either wastes money or leaves you catching up.
